SUPREMEly Recession Proof

Even a slumping US economy can't stop an army of resellers and hypebeasts. Who care's about the price of oil, when the price of a Kermit tee is sure to fetch well over $100 on eBay.

Various stories have already been poppin up about the scene at both the LA and NY locations, but let's just say it was a madhouse.

In the spirit of hypebeasting, here is an interview about a jewelery collaboration Pharrell did with LV. WARNING : I do not endorse this uncreative ugly jewelery. Let's at least hope the shit isn't made from conflict diamonds.

while many of you have already seen visvim FBTs before, the new folk series is an interesting take on the already popular model.

While i didn't like the interpretations at first, the new Folk Lhamo FBT is really a good example of the folk concept at it's best. A classic moc, with high-quality interesting materials, just enough detailing to stand out while remaining subtle. The new slimmer midsole is the best part but once again the brand does not sacrifice any of the comfort or quality it's known for.

everything old is new again

Once again Senator Hillary Clinton is turning to scare tactics and negative campaigning in one final desperate attempt to keep her campaign alive. Well all i have to say is Hillary, i can smell your desperation. I guess it wasn't quite stopped at the border.

It also strikes me as interesting that once again in advertising the same ideas and are re-hashed, re-packaged and re-sold. Even when they didn't exactly ensure success the first time..

No one remembers losrs.

The Perfect Scent

Came across an article in the star introducing an interesting book about the process of making scents.the star

Basically the book touches on some of what goes on behind the scenes in the perfuming industry. The amount of work and attention to detail that goes into creating unique and imagination-capturing scents is absolutely incredible. Hence why I tend to really appreciate when brands keep creative control of their scents from conception to market.

A good example of this is CDG (comme des garcons) fragrance line. One of their latest offerings being Oduer 53 described as

"An abstract anti perfume. The latest technology is used to clone odours from inorganic materials. Smells never before used, with no precise name only abstract ideas."
NOTES: The freshness of oxygen, nail polish, flash of metal, cellulosic smell, pure air of the high mountains, sand dunes, fire energy, ultimate fusion, wash drying in the wind, burnt rubber, mineral intensity of carbon, flaming rock."

Best show on TV. Bar none.

While i almost lost my faith (pun intended) in this show last season. This shortened season thus far has restored my belief that LOST is truly the best show on television right now. The writing, the acting, the depth of the story and characters is truly incredible. This is a drama series for our generation.

The best thing about this show is that it truly creates it's own word and whenever you watch you can't help but feel trapped inside it. Also amazing is the way the online community has rallied around the show and given even more depth to it.
If you haven't already these links are definetly worth a look.

Only 3 more episodes left this season, but already i can't wait for all our questions to be answered.

SPOILER ALERT
and finally a concise and very plausible explanation of many of the events on the island. This theory is consistent throughout and really clears up a lot of loose ends. As i warned earlier don't read the theory if you haven't seen all the episodes as it may give away some large plot developments...
