Young Jeezy - Trappin ain't Dead

In case you're wondering about the lack of updates I've decided to change the format of this blog. Now it will be mainly an entertainment / music related blog where i'm gonna post songs and albums im feeling and any new releases i want you to hear about. Basically an audio/visual stream of conciousness. I have another blog up now also for my higher artistic/creative endeavors , find me HERE

Meanwhile the new Jeezy is out and it's pretty raw. Thanks to yourboyantonio for the linkup.

Raf Simons Peter Saville

Both legends in their own right i managed to find a hoody from the fw 2003-2004 season that had the factory records logo (joy division, new order et all). That kind of sparked my interest in some of the other pieces from that collaboration I managed to find this old picture of that raf simons season.

If anyone could link me to more photos of this season ill love you forever.

muxtape down

i signed on to muxtape today to check out what some of my friends were listening to. Looks like the RIAA is trying to shut down another avenue for music fans to enjoy music on their computers or online. This subject has already been beat to death so I won't get into specifics, but I will say this. Fuck you RIAA. Your very existence will be continually threatened. IF you can't beat them, join them, or in this case if you can't beat them. DIE

The Virgins Afterparty

My friend Kyle (from Dejour) is hosting the official afterparty for the Virgins show on wednesday night. Just go in the back alleyway just east of Portland on Queen. Get crunk off your face for $15 (all you can drink). See you all there!

Flashing Lights (AGAIN)

some of may remember the first video which was disappointing to alot of people. This video is alot better suited to the song imo, and the girl in it is absolutely gorgeous.

I'll be coming home.

This vids been out for a week, but i still like it. It's simple and I think it really conveys the message of the song well.

If any of you listened to ye a couple years back you'll know this is a remake of the original track home feat. John Legend and a totally different (more soulful beat). I'll see if i can get a copy of that for you.
but for now enjoy the vid

Ode to Toronto

Saw this video linked on ISS. It is a homage to Toronto by Abd-Om-Inal ft. Notes to Self.

I usually hate Canadian hip-hop, but this song is very true to the spirit of the city. No thug posturing, the beat and lyrics seem well suited to the vibe found in TO.

Heart of the City Tour

If you weren't aware last night was the kickoff in Miami for the North American Tour.

There were quite a few surprises, and one can only hope the show in TO is half as good as this one looked.

Guest Appearances by Kanye, Timbo, Jeezy , DREAM, and others meant fans really got their money's worth.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Also of note DJ Neil Armstrong has been selected as the the official DJ of the tour, and ?uestlove is taking the reigns by directing the band.

Blog TO's 10 best live music venues

Recently one of my favorite Toronto-based blogs put out their list of the 10 best live music venues in the city.

Notable inclusions are The Opera House, Mod Club, Rex and The Horseshoe Tavern.

Notably Missing : El Macombo

anyone else think that Drake Underground shouldn't have made it?
